Men in Black 3 is a science fiction action-comedy film directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and starring Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, and Josh Brolin. The film is the third installment in the Men in Black film series and was released in 2012.
The movie begins with Agent J (Will Smith) investigating a new alien threat that has come to Earth. However, during the course of his investigation, he discovers that his partner, Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones), has been dead for over 40 years. J soon realizes that he must travel back in time to 1969 to prevent K's death and save the world from the alien threat.
In the past, J encounters a younger version of K (Josh Brolin), who is still working as an agent for the Men in Black. The two of them team up to find the alien responsible for K's death and to stop him from destroying the planet. Along the way, J discovers some of the secrets of the universe that K had never told him before.
Men in Black 3 received generally positive reviews from critics and was a commercial success, grossing over $624 million worldwide. The film was praised for its humor, action, and the chemistry between Smith and Brolin. It also marked the return of the iconic "neuralyzer" device, which erases people's memories.
