Music,Family,Animation  United States of America

Melody Time was released on May 27, 1948, and features seven musical segments. The segments include "Melody Time," "Once Upon a Wintertime," "Bumble Boogie," "The Legend of Johnny Appleseed," "Little Toot," "Trees," and "Blame it on the Samba."

"Melody Time" serves as an introduction to the film and features a cast of live-action and animated characters. "Once Upon a Wintertime" features the story of a couple on a romantic sleigh ride set to a rendition of the song "Sleigh Ride." "Bumble Boogie" is a jazz-infused reimagining of the classical piece "Flight of the Bumblebee."

"The Legend of Johnny Appleseed" tells the story of American pioneer Johnny Appleseed, who traveled across the country planting apple trees. "Little Toot" is based on the children's book and tells the story of a little tugboat who wants to be like the big ocean liners. "Trees" is a segment set to the song of the same name, which celebrates the beauty and majesty of trees.

Finally, "Blame it on the Samba" features Donald Duck and his Brazilian friends Jose Carioca and Aracuan Bird experiencing the fun and excitement of samba music.

Melody Time was not as successful as Disney's previous animated films, but it is still fondly remembered for its catchy musical numbers and innovative animation techniques.
