The movie Megamind, released in 2010, is an animated comedy film about a supervillain named Megamind. Megamind, voiced by Will Ferrell, is a blue extraterrestrial who was sent to Earth as a baby and raised by criminals in a prison. He grows up with the ambition to be a supervillain and desires to defeat his nemesis, the superhero Metro Man (voiced by Brad Pitt).
Throughout the movie, Megamind and Metro Man engage in a long-standing battle of good versus evil. However, Megamind becomes tired of continuously losing to Metro Man and decides to create a new superhero to fight against. He selects a nerdy reporter named Hal Stewart (voiced by Jonah Hill) and transforms him into the hero "Titan".
However, Titan soon becomes corrupt and begins using his powers for evil, forcing Megamind to take on the role of a hero to stop him. In the end, Megamind realizes that he has been searching for purpose in all the wrong places and finds joy in helping others and being a hero.
The movie also features the voices of Tina Fey as Roxanne Ritchie, a news reporter whom Megamind kidnaps multiple times, and David Cross as Minion, Megamind's loyal sidekick who is also a fish in a robotic suit.
Overall, Megamind is an action-packed comedy with a heartwarming message about finding purpose and redemption.
