Meet the Robinsons is a 2007 computer-animated science fiction comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film is directed by Stephen J. Anderson and is based on the book A Day with Wilbur Robinson, by William Joyce.
The story revolves around Lewis, a young inventor who is determined to find his biological mother, who had left him as an infant. Lewis is a brilliant young scientist who has built a memory scanner, a machine that can extract memories from the human mind. Lewis believes that by using the memory scanner, he can find out the truth about his past and his mother's abandonment.
However, Lewis' invention is stolen by the villainous Bowler Hat Guy, who is trying to use it for his own nefarious purposes. When Lewis meets Wilbur Robinson, a boy from the future who claims to be a time-traveler, he is taken on a wild adventure through time and space to retrieve the memory scanner and save the future.
The film is filled with colorful and eccentric characters, including the Robinson family, a zany group of inventors and artists who take Lewis under their wing and teach him the importance of thinking outside the box. Along the way, Lewis learns valuable lessons about family, friendship, and the power of imagination.
