Meet the Deedles is a 1998 comedy-adventure film directed by Steve Boyum and starring Paul Walker and Steve Van Wormer as two surfer bros, Phil and Stew Deedle. After getting arrested for causing trouble in their hometown of Hawaii, the Deedle brothers are given a choice by their parents: either go to summer school or join the National Park Service in Yellowstone National Park.
Opting for the latter, Phil and Stew arrive at Yellowstone and immediately clash with the strict and uptight head ranger, Capt. Douglas Pine (John Ashton). They also encounter Jesse (A.J. Langer), a quirky research scientist who is studying the park's geysers, and Junior (Eric Braeden), a wealthy businessman who is trying to exploit the park's natural resources.
As the Deedles settle into their new jobs, they start to uncover a sinister plot by former ranger, Frank Slater (Dennis Hopper), who was fired from the park for endangering tourists. Slater has created a fake geological disaster that he plans to use as a cover for stealing gold from a nearby mine. He also intends to blow up the Old Faithful geyser, which he holds responsible for his dismissal from the park.
With the help of Jesse, Phil and Stew set out to stop Slater's plan and save Yellowstone from destruction. They use their surfing skills to navigate the park's rivers and outrun Slater's henchmen. In the climactic scene, they engage in a high-speed chase through the park on jet skis, ultimately stopping Slater's plan and saving the day.
