McHale's Navy is a comedy film released in 1997 and directed by Bryan Spicer. The film is based on the television series of the same name from the 1960s. In the film, Lieutenant Commander Quinton McHale (Tom Arnold) is retired and living a peaceful life on a remote island in the Caribbean. He spends his days selling homemade goods and enjoying his laid-back lifestyle with his former crew from the PT-73.
However, all of that changes when Major Vladikov (Tim Curry) arrives on the island and takes over, declaring himself the leader of San Moreno. Vladikov announces his plan to build a nuclear missile silo on the island, which would give him immense power and make him one of the most dangerous men in the world.
McHale, along with his former crew and his love interest, Nurse Morgan (Debra Messing), must come together to stop Vladikov and his dangerous plan. However, they face opposition from their old nemesis, Captain Wallace B. Binghampton (Dean Stockwell), who is determined to stop McHale and his crew from interfering.
As the story progresses, McHale and his crew engage in a series of hilarious and action-packed antics as they attempt to thwart Vladikov's plans and save the island from destruction. The film boasts a talented cast of actors, and the humor and action make it an entertaining adventure for audiences of all ages.
