Maybe Baby follows the story of two women, Emily and Sarah, who undergo IVF treatment at the same fertility clinic. Emily is a successful career woman who is married to a wealthy businessman while Sarah is a free-spirited yoga instructor who is in a same-sex relationship.
Nine months after the IVF treatment, Emily gives birth to a baby boy, but something seems off. A DNA test reveals that the baby is not biologically related to either Emily or her husband. After further investigation, they discover that the clinic mistakenly implanted Sarah's embryo into Emily's womb and vice versa.
The two women are devastated by the news and struggle to come to terms with the fact that they have been raising each other's biological child.
