May Contain Nuts is a British comedy-drama film directed by John Henderson and based on a novel by John O'Farrell. It stars Shirley Henderson, Sophie Thompson, and Elizabeth Berrington.

The film follows the Chaplin family as they move to a wealthy private housing estate filled with upper-class parents obsessed with their children's academic achievements. Alice Chaplin is horrified by the pressure these parents place on their children to attend prestigious schools like Chelsea College. Her daughter Molly is not academic and she fears for her future. So, she decides to take matters into her own hands and impersonate Molly during the Chelsea College entrance exam.

Alice's plan seems to be working at first, as she aces the exam and secures Molly's place in Chelsea. However, she quickly finds herself in over her head as the other parents begin to suspect that she cheated. On top of this, Alice's own insecurities and desire for social status begin to take their toll on her relationships with her family and friends.

As the film progresses, Alice's lies and deception begin to unravel, causing chaos for her family and the other parents in the community. May Contain Nuts is a satirical take on the pressures of modern parenting and the obsession with social status. It is a witty and entertaining film that offers a humorous commentary on the absurdity of our societal values.
