Max Bishop, a former hitman, has been struggling to find work after being released from prison. On the advice of his parole officer, he decides to take on a job as a janitor at the local elementary school. There, he meets a group of lovable and mischievous students who quickly warm up to him.
Max soon discovers that the school is facing financial troubles and is at risk of being shut down. Desperate to save the school and the future of the children, Max decides to use his unique set of skills to help raise money for the school. He begins taking on odd jobs, and his reputation as a reliable and efficient worker quickly spreads throughout the community.
However, Max's past catches up with him when a former colleague from his hitman days recognizes him and starts blackmailing him to do one last job. Max finds himself torn between his newfound purpose of helping the school and the danger of returning to his former life as a hitman.
With the help of the students and his fellow school staff, Max devises a plan to outsmart his blackmailer and save the school. In the end, Max learns that sometimes the biggest heroes are not the ones with guns and violence, but the ones who choose to use their skills for the greater good.
