Matchmaker Mysteries: A Killer Engagement, is a made-for-TV movie that first aired on March 28, 2019, on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. The film stars Danica McKellar as Angie Dove, a professional matchmaker, who is tasked with solving the murder of a wealthy woman, owned a successful jewelry store and was engaged to a rich businessman. Her fiancé is the prime suspect but Angie is convinced of his innocence and sets out to prove it.
However, her working with the police detective Kyle Cooper (played by Victor Webster) is not easy as there are evident uncertainties and unease about the situation between them. Along the way, Angie discovers a range of suspects, including jealousy-driven rivals, business partners with secrets, and jilted lovers, but she continues to work hard to uncover the truth and clear her client's name.
As Angie gets closer to solving the case, she also begins to see beyond the surface of her relationship with Kyle. With the killer on the loose, and time running out, Angie is faced with a race against time to solve the mystery and find the real killer.
Directed by David Mackay, MatchMaker Mysteries: A Killer Engagement is a well-coordinated movie with a touch of suspense and romance. It is an excellent mystery-drama that will keep you glued to your screen from start to finish.
