Lost Family Discovers Sinister Underground Cult.

Horror  United States of America

"Manos: The Hands of Fate" is a low-budget horror film released in 1966. It follows a vacationing family, consisting of a husband, wife, and their young daughter, as they become lost on a remote road and accidentally stumble upon a hidden compound that serves as the headquarters of a satanic cult led by the mysterious "Master."

As the family settles in for the night, they are soon attacked by the cult's henchman, Torgo, who informs them that they cannot leave as they are now "part of the Master's plan." The family soon discovers that the cult is planning to sacrifice them to their deity, "Manos."

As the family tries to escape, they encounter various cult members, including a group of women in flowing white robes and a group of men wearing goat masks. The film's budget and technical limitations are evident; it was shot on a hand-held camera with no sound equipment, and the acting, lighting, and production values are generally poor.

Despite its shortcomings, "Manos: The Hands of Fate" has achieved cult status and is now considered a classic example of "so-bad-it's-good" cinema. Its bizarre imagery, nonsensical plot, and infamous characters such as Torgo and the Master have made it a favorite of fans of cult cinema and horror.
