Mandie is a young girl who attends a boarding school in the early 1900s. Despite warnings not to go into the attic, Mandie and her friends sneak in and discover an old journal belonging to a girl who lived at the school many years before. The journal reveals a lost Christmas tradition that was once celebrated at the school, but has since been forgotten.
As Mandie investigates the mystery, she uncovers the story of an orphaned boy who was taken in by the school and the kind teacher who tried to make his first Christmas there a special one. Mandie is determined to bring this tradition back to life and ultimately makes a heartwarming discovery that brings joy to the entire school during the Christmas season. The movie is based on the book series by Lois Gladys Leppard.
