In the movie Man of the House, Texas Ranger Roland Sharp (played by Tommy Lee Jones) is assigned to protect a group of University of Texas cheerleaders who witnessed a murder. As the only witnesses to the crime, the cheerleaders are in grave danger from the drug kingpin who is responsible for the murder.
To keep the cheerleaders safe, Sharp must go undercover as an assistant cheerleading coach and move in with the young women. At first, the cheerleaders are skeptical of Sharp's abilities as a coach and his gruff personality. However, as Sharp spends more time with the cheerleaders, he begins to form a bond with them and learns valuable lessons about teamwork, friendship, and trust.
As the investigation into the murder heats up, Sharp and the cheerleaders find themselves in increasingly dangerous situations. They must work together to outsmart the drug kingpin and his henchmen, all while trying to perform their best at cheerleading competitions and maintain their cover as a group of college students.
The movie is a mixture of action, comedy, and drama, as Sharp navigates the challenges of his job while also learning to connect with the cheerleaders on a personal level. Along the way, he also develops a romantic interest in the cheerleading coach (played by Anne Archer), which complicates his mission even further.
In the end, Sharp and the cheerleaders are able to catch the murderer and bring justice to the victim's family. In the process, they also learn valuable lessons about teamwork, courage, and the true meaning of friendship.
