The movie Mama centers around two young girls, Victoria and Lilly, who are left alone in a secluded cabin in the woods after their father kills their mother and abandons them. The girls are discovered five years later by their uncle, Lucas, and his girlfriend, Annabel, who take them in and try to give them a normal life.
However, it becomes clear that something supernatural is still following the girls, and Annabel begins to experience frightening visions and encounters with a ghostly figure known as "Mama." As the story unfolds, it is revealed that Mama is a vengeful spirit who became attached to Victoria and Lilly while they were in the woods, and is determined to keep them with her at any cost.
