Malabar Princess

Drama  France

Malabar Princess is a French drama film directed by Gilles Legrand. The film follows the story of a man named Simon who leaves his 8-year-old son Adrien with his father-in-law in the French Alps. Simon is a long-distance truck driver and is often away from home, leaving Adrien with his grandparents. Adrien's mother died in a plane crash near a glacier in the region, which has haunted the boy.

Adrien's grandfather, Charles, is a retired climber who lives near the glacier where Adrien's mother died. He and Adrien develop a close relationship, and Charles tries to help Adrien come to terms with his mother's death. He teaches Adrien about the mountains and how to climb.

One day, Adrien finds a travel book that belonged to his mother. The book contains a photo of a Malabar Princess plane, the same type that his mother died in. Adrien becomes obsessed with finding the wreckage of the plane and uncovering the truth about his mother's death.

Adrien and Charles embark on an adventure to find the wreckage of the plane. Along the way, they learn about each other and their shared love for Adrien's mother. They face numerous obstacles, including harsh weather conditions, dangerous terrain, and Adrien's own fears and doubts.

As they get closer to the wreckage, Adrien finds a sense of closure and acceptance of his mother's death. The film is a touching story of family, love, and the healing power of nature.
