Diana McQueen (played by Daphne Zuniga) is a skilled and successful con-woman. However, she's tired of living a life of constant deception and wants to start anew. She decides to leave town and her boss, Tom Rourke (played by Greg Evigan), behind.
As fate would have it, Diana learns from her dying friend that she was set to become a mail-order bride for a man in a small town in Montana. Diana seizes the opportunity to start a new life by taking her friend's place and posing as the mail-order bride.
Once in Montana, Diana struggles to adjust to her new life and identity. She meets the man she's supposed to marry, a rancher named Beau (played by Cameron Bancroft), and finds herself falling for him. However, she knows that her true identity will eventually be discovered, and her past will catch up with her.
As she gets to know Beau and the people of the town, Diana starts to see the world differently. She begins to question her former life and wonder if she can truly leave her past behind.
