The movie opens with a flashback to the late 70s, when the notorious serial killer "Motorman Dan" was at the height of his killing spree. His victims were primarily young couples who would pack up for a romantic drive out of the city, only to fall prey to Dan's twisted game of cat and mouse.
Fast forward to present day, and we are introduced to the newlywed couple, Alex and Rachel, who have just purchased the property in question - a small, secluded cabin in the heart of the Sonoran Desert. Despite warnings from the local sheriff about the property's dark history, the couple is undeterred and sets off to start their new life together.
However, it isn't long before strange things begin to happen - unexplained noises, eerie shadows, and an overwhelming feeling of being watched. As the days go by, things only get worse - Alex starts to see visions of Motorman Dan in the corners of his eye, while Rachel's dreams are plagued by gruesome images of his victims.
