MacGruber is a 2010 action-comedy film, directed by Jorma Taccone and starring Will Forte as the titular character, MacGruber. It is based on a recurring sketch from the television series, Saturday Night Live. The film follows MacGruber, a former special operative who has retired to a life of solitude after the death of his wife. However, he is called back into action by Colonel Faith (Powers Boothe) and is tasked with stopping his archenemy, Dieter Von Cunth, from carrying out his plan to destroy Washington, DC.

MacGruber's team consists of Lieutenant Dixon Piper (Ryan Phillippe) and Vicki St. Elmo (Kristen Wiig), who is an old flame of MacGruber's and also an explosives expert. Together, they must infiltrate Von Cunth's base and stop him from launching a nuclear missile at the nation's capital. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles, including Von Cunth's right-hand man, Hoss Bender (Chris Jericho), and MacGruber's own ineptitude and tendency to constantly screw up.

The film is a parody of the 1980s action films, with over-the-top action scenes and tongue-in-cheek humor. It received mixed reviews from critics but has become a cult classic over the years. The film also features Val Kilmer as the villainous Dieter Von Cunth and Maya Rudolph in a cameo role as MacGruber's wife.
