LX 2048 is a science fiction movie that takes place in a future where the sun has damaged the Earth's atmosphere, and people can no longer venture outside their homes during the day. Instead, they spend most of their time in a virtual reality world, where they can interact with others and go about their normal lives.
The protagonist, Adam Bird, is a man who is dying from a rare genetic disease. He is also a father who is worried about the well-being of his family after he is gone. As such, he turns to an advanced cloning program that promises to create a new version of himself that can take care of his loved ones long after he's gone.
However, as Adam begins to understand what it truly means to be human in a world where virtual reality rules all, he starts to question the morality of creating a copy of himself. His journey takes him through a series of complex ethical and emotional challenges, as he tries to come to terms with this new reality, and find a way to ensure his family's future without compromising their humanity.
Throughout the course of the film, LX 2048 explores themes such as mortality, identity, and what it means to be truly alive. It presents a future that is both bleak and fascinating, and raises questions about our own dependence on technology, and the ways in which it can change us as individuals and as a society.
