The movie begins with a flashback to the day of the Zufu king's assassination, where Lupin and Jigen were present in the crowd and witnessed the event. The scene then cuts to present day, where Lupin and his gang receive a request from an anonymous client to steal the national treasure of Zufu, which is said to be worth billions of dollars.
Lupin, Jigen, and Goemon manage to infiltrate the floating island where the treasure is located, but they soon realize that the island is heavily guarded by a complex defense mechanism, which includes deadly traps, robots, and even a mechanical dragon. The group is left stranded on the island, unable to leave or communicate with the outside world.
In the meantime, they discover that the key to the treasure is somehow connected to the princess of Zufu, who is being held captive by the new ruler, General Headhunter. Lupin decides to kidnap the princess to use her as leverage, but this attracts the attention of Olèander, a skilled Zufu police agent who is determined to bring Lupin to justice.
As Lupin and his gang try to find a way off the island and evade the various bounty hunters who are after them, they uncover a shocking conspiracy involving the late king's trusted advisor, a mysterious woman named Elena, and a secret organization known as the "Three Sisters".
