Lucky Number Slevin is a crime thriller movie that follows the story of Slevin Kelevra (played by Josh Hartnett), a guy who is mistakenly identified as Nick Fisher. Nick Fisher owes a large sum of money to two of the most powerful crime bosses in the city, the Boss (played by Morgan Freeman) and the Rabbi (played by Ben Kingsley). Slevin is abducted and taken to the Boss, who believes that Slevin is Nick Fisher and demands that he pay off the debt.
The Rabbi also believes that Slevin is Nick Fisher and approaches him with a deal: he will pay off Slevin's debt to the Boss if Slevin kills the Boss's son. Slevin is placed into a dangerous and complex situation where both crime bosses are pitted against each other, and he is caught in the middle. Meanwhile, a mysterious assassin known as Mr. Goodkat (played by Bruce Willis) closely watches Slevin's every move.
As Slevin tries to navigate his way out of this lethal game, the audience is taken through numerous twists and turns as the story unfolds. Along the way, Slevin falls in love with Lindsey (played by Lucy Liu), his neighbor who has her own secrets to hide. Slevin eventually discovers the truth behind his true identity and why he was brought into this situation. In the end, Slevin must not only outsmart the two criminal bosses, but also the mysterious assassin Mr. Goodkat to survive.
