Love, Simon is a coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama film directed by Greg Berlanti and written by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. The movie is based on the novel Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. The film follows the life of Simon Spier, a seventeen-year-old high school student who is gay but has not come out to anyone yet. Simon starts communicating with an anonymous classmate named "Blue" online and falls in love with him. Simon wants to know Blue's identity, but he is afraid to reveal his own secret. Simon is also dealing with typical teenage issues such as school, friends, and relationships with his family.

As Simon navigates his own journey of self-discovery, he also helps his friends through their own struggles. He becomes closer to his longtime friend Leah, but their relationship gets complicated when she develops feelings for him. At the same time, Simon's best friend Nick has a crush on Abby but is afraid to confess his feelings to her.

Throughout the movie, Simon's secret is threatened to be exposed when a fellow student finds an email exchange between Simon and Blue. Simon must confront the potential consequences of coming out and fear of rejection from his loved ones.

In the climax of the movie, Simon finally comes out to his family and friends, and he meets Blue, who is revealed to be Bram Greenfeld. Simon and Bram share a romantic kiss on a Ferris wheel, and Simon finally feels confident in his own identity and love.
