Love Object is a psychological horror film that follows the seemingly mundane life of Kenneth (played by Desmond Harrington), a socially awkward technical writer who lives alone in a small apartment. One day, while browsing online for a new computer mouse, he becomes fixated on a lifelike silicone sex doll named "Nikki." Despite initial hesitation, Kenneth goes through with the purchase and eagerly awaits her arrival.
Once Nikki arrives, Kenneth begins to form a disturbingly intimate relationship with her, ignoring the advances of his co-worker Lisa (played by Melissa Sagemiller). He starts to refer to Nikki as his girlfriend and even takes her out on dates, all while keeping her existence a secret from the outside world. As his obsession with Nikki grows, Kenneth's mental state begins to deteriorate, and he becomes increasingly unhinged.
The film takes a dark turn when Kenneth discovers that Nikki was not solely created for his pleasure but has been sold to other men as well. This realization fuels his jealousy and possessiveness, leading him to take drastic and violent measures to keep Nikki all to himself.
