Summer has been pen pals with Nick for years, ever since she was a teenager and he was the lead singer of a popular boy band. Despite having a crush on him for years, they've never actually met in person until Nick comes to town for a concert. When they finally meet, Summer is starstruck but Nick is down-to-earth and easy to talk to.
As they spend time together, they realize that their friendship has the potential to be something more. However, Summer is hesitant to pursue a relationship with Nick because she's afraid she'll lose him if things don't work out romantically. Nick, on the other hand, is eager to take their relationship to the next level and doesn't want to waste any more time.
Meanwhile, Summer's grandmother, who has a large following on TikTok, becomes a matchmaker in her own right and encourages Summer to follow her heart. With her grandmother's support, Summer decides to take a chance on Nick and they begin dating.
Along the way, they face challenges such as Nick's hectic touring schedule and the scrutiny of the press and fans. However, they find ways to make it work and eventually fall in love. The movie ends with Nick dedicating a song to Summer during one of his concerts, solidifying their love in the limelight.
