The two teenagers, Amir and Sahar, have been in a secret relationship for over a year. They both dream of living in America and starting a new life together. However, their families are traditional and do not approve of their relationship, let alone their plans to move away. Amir and Sahar work hard to save enough money for their trip, but they realize it will take years to achieve their goal.
One day, Amir hears about the state lottery and convinces Sahar to play. They are convinced that winning the lottery is their only chance at starting a new life in the US. They put all their hopes into the lottery, eagerly waiting for the results.
Unfortunately, tragedy strikes when Amir's younger sister is diagnosed with leukemia. The family cannot afford the expensive treatment and is forced to sell their house and possessions to pay for her medical expenses. Amir and Sahar decide to delay their plans and support Amir's family during this difficult time.
Desperate to make money quickly, they get involved with a woman who offers to help them. They soon realize that they have unwittingly become part of an international prostitution ring. They manage to escape, but not before alerting the authorities to the illegal operation.
The movie ends on a bittersweet note as Amir and Sahar must face the consequences of their actions. They are unable to realize their dream of living in America, but they have put an end to a heinous crime. They return home, determined to rebuild their lives and make the best of their situation.
