Margaret Rockland, a young woman in her 30s, returns to her hometown in Washington DC for a high school reunion. She is depressed and feels out of place, as she is still struggling to find her place in the world while her former classmates have settled into comfortable family lives. Adding to her stress, her ex-boyfriend is now engaged to a wealthy blonde woman.
In an attempt to escape her problems, Margaret turns to alcohol and drugs. She spends her time with two of her old friends, who are similarly lost in life, and they wander around the suburban area aimlessly. However, their adventure takes a dark turn when they accidentally witness a kidnapping.
As they try to figure out what to do, they become embroiled in a complex web of extortion and violence. The trio is forced to make difficult decisions and confront their past mistakes as they navigate the dangerous underworld of their hometown.
Lost Holiday is a dark comedy that explores themes of identity, friendship, and the consequences of our actions. It features a strong ensemble cast, including Kate Lyn Sheil in the lead role of Margaret, and is directed by Michael Kerry Matthews and Thomas Matthews.
