Long Arm of the Law III is a Hong Kong action thriller film directed by Michael Mak. The movie is a sequel to Long Arm of the Law released in 1984 and Long Arm of the Law II released in 1987. It was released in 1989.
The story follows a former soldier and death row prisoner named Wong Ka Ting, who manages to escape from prison during a riot. He flees to Hong Kong to hide from the authorities but unfortunately, he gets caught up with a gang of criminals.
The gang kidnaps the woman he loves, a nurse named Lam Wai-ling, and Wong is forced to work for the gang in exchange for her release. He takes part in a series of armed robberies with the gang, and during one of these robberies, he meets a detective named Lam Kwok Kit. The two form an unlikely alliance as they work together to bring down the gang and save Wong's lover.
As the tension builds, the movie unfolds into a thrilling climax where Wong, Lam Kwok Kit, and Lam Wai-ling must fight for their lives against the ruthless gang of criminals.
