London Fields is a neo-noir thriller based on the 1989 novel of the same name by Martin Amis. It follows the story of Nicola Six, a clairvoyant femme fatale who is convinced that she will be murdered on her upcoming 35th birthday. Nicola moves to London and begins a complicated love affair with three men – Guy Clinch, a wealthy businessman; Keith Talent, a rough and tumble criminal; and Samson Young, a struggling writer.
As Nicola becomes more involved with each of the men, she begins to manipulate each of them in order to fulfill her prophetic death. Guy Clinch is married and deeply in love with his wife, but Nicolas ignites a passion within him that he cannot resist. Keith Talent is a rough and violent man who is drawn to Nicola's beauty and unpredictability, but he becomes increasingly jealous of her relationship with Samson Young. Finally, Samson Young is a charming writer who is infatuated with Nicola, but he cannot control his own dark urges.
As the three men become increasingly entangled in Nicola's web of deceit, each becomes a suspect in her murder. London Fields is a dark and twisted thriller that explores the complex relationships between love, desire, and death. The film stars Amber Heard as Nicola Six, Jim Sturgess as Keith Talent, Billy Bob Thornton as Samson Young, and Theo James as Guy Clinch.
