Living is a character-driven drama set in 1950s London, following the life of a reserved civil servant named William. After receiving a grim diagnosis for a health condition, William realizes he has spent his life dedicated to his job, with few personal experiences to speak of. He decides to take an extended break from work to explore the city and experience all that life has to offer.
As William begins to venture out of his comfort zone, he meets a colorful cast of characters, including a bohemian artist named Penny, who becomes his love interest. He discovers the joys of music, dance, and art, and starts to reevaluate his priorities.
However, as William's health condition worsens, he is forced to confront his mortality, leading him to question the choices he has made in life. Living is a poignant and introspective film about finding meaning and purpose, even in the face of adversity.
