The two main characters in Live Escape are Detective John and Detective Sarah, who are tasked with investigating a series of disappearances of homeless individuals in the area. They follow a lead that takes them to an abandoned homeless shelter on the outskirts of the city.
Upon arriving at the shelter, John and Sarah quickly realize that something is amiss. The building is eerily quiet, and as they venture further in, they discover an endless maze of rooms and corridors. It soon becomes apparent that the shelter has been overrun by zombies - former residents who have been infected by a mysterious virus.
As the detectives try to navigate their way through the maze and escape the shelter, they encounter a variety of terrifying zombies, each with its own unique traits and abilities. Along the way, they discover how the virus was created - a sinister experiment gone awry.
