Little Monsters is a horror-comedy film released in 2019 and directed by Abe Forsythe. The film stars Lupita Nyong'o as Miss Caroline, a kindergarten teacher, Alexander England as Dave, a washed-up musician, and Josh Gad as Teddy McGiggle, a popular television personality known for hosting a kids' show.
The story follows Dave, who is struggling with his career and personal life and has recently broken up with his girlfriend. He decides to accompany his nephew's class on a field trip to a theme park where he meets Miss Caroline, his nephew's kindergarten teacher. Dave is immediately attracted to her but his advances are rebuffed.
Suddenly, a military experiment gone wrong results in a zombie outbreak that spreads rapidly, infecting all the adults in the park. Miss Caroline takes charge, protecting her students and leading them to safety. Dave decides to join forces with her and together they try to stay alive while protecting the children.
Teddy McGiggle, who is also at the theme park, turns out to be not as friendly as he appears on television. He is selfish and cowardly, and his actions put the lives of the children in danger.
As they navigate their way through the park, the group encounters all sorts of zombie-related challenges and obstacles, and the situation becomes more and more dire. But amidst all the chaos, Dave begins to find a purpose as he bonds with the children and starts to embrace his role as their protector.
With plenty of humor, heart, and gore, Little Monsters is an entertaining and unique zombie movie that offers a fresh take on the genre.
