Showbiz Orphan: A Heartwarming Tale

The movie Little Miss Broadway was released in 1938 and starred Shirley Temple as the orphaned girl named Betsy Brown. Betsy is taken in by the manager of a hotel called the Royal Palace, which is mainly inhabited by show business people such as comedians, dancers and musicians. Betsy quickly makes friends with all the entertainers and even becomes a part of their performances.

However, things take a turn when the hotel's owner, Mr. Jones, discovers that Betsy is living there and is not happy about it. He dislikes the show business people and thinks that Betsy should be returned to the orphanage. The manager and the entertainers band together to try and convince Mr. Jones to let Betsy stay and even put on a big show to raise money for her to stay.

Meanwhile, Betsy's estranged father, a famous composer, is searching for her and eventually finds her at the hotel. He is overjoyed to see her and wants to take her back to his luxurious lifestyle, but Betsy must decide between going back to him or staying with the friends she has made at the Royal Palace.

Throughout the movie, Shirley Temple shines with her talent for singing and dancing, and the film also includes classic songs such as "Be Optimistic" and "You've Got to S-M-I-L-E". Little Miss Broadway is a heartwarming tale of friendship and family with a touch of showbiz glamour.
