After Calvin (played by Marlon Wayans) successfully steals the diamond with his brother Percy (played by Tracy Morgan), they are chased by the police. Calvin hides the diamond in the purse of Vanessa Edwards (played by Kerry Washington) while she is shopping.
Later on, Darryl Edwards (played by Shawn Wayans) finds the purse with the diamond inside and gives it to Vanessa. When Calvin realizes that the diamond is in the purse, he dresses up as a baby and is left on the doorstep of the Edwards’ house to get back inside and retrieve the diamond.
As the weekend goes on, Darryl and Vanessa begin to bond with “baby” Calvin and decide to adopt him. Meanwhile, Walken (played by Chazz Palminteri) threatens Darryl to get the diamond back.
Throughout the film, Calvin tries to retrieve the diamond while also trying to hide his true identity from the Edwards’. He eventually succeeds in getting the diamond back to Walken but is then confronted by the police. In the end, Calvin is arrested and the Edwards’ welcome their new baby into their family.
