Danny O'Shea is a small-town businessman who runs a gas station and is also a doting father to his daughter Becky. When Becky is rejected from her town's Peewee football team simply because she is a girl, Danny is outraged. Determined to show that girls can play football too, Danny decides to form his own team, the Little Giants, composed of other kids who were also cut from the town's team.
The Little Giants are not the most athletic group, but they are filled with heart and determination. Under Danny's coaching, they slowly begin to improve.
