The film opens with Wallace (Cumberbatch) sitting in a car, looking distraught and anxious. He receives a call from James (Salmon), a former military colleague and friend, who needs his help with a deal gone wrong. James reminds Wallace of the time when he saved his life in Iraq, and says he needs a "little favour" in return.
Wallace reluctantly agrees to help, and meets James at a remote location. James hands him a bag and asks him to deliver it to a man named Max (Moran) in London, without opening it or asking any questions. James assures Wallace that he will be safe and that his debt will be paid. However, Wallace soon realizes that the situation is more complicated than he thought, and he becomes entangled in a dangerous web of lies, betrayal, and violence.
As Wallace tries to fulfill his mission and unravel the mystery surrounding the bag, he becomes a target of ruthless criminals and corrupt officials who will stop at nothing to get what they want. With the help of an old flame (played by Oona Chaplin), who also happens to be a skilled hacker, Wallace fights for his life and his sanity as he races against time to uncover the truth and protect the people he cares about.
Little Favour is a fast-paced, suspenseful thriller that showcases Cumberbatch's acting range and intensity. The film was directed by Patrick Viktor Monroe and produced by SunnyMarch. It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013 and has since gained a cult following among fans of the genre.
