The movie Lionman begins with the murder of King Richard, the ruler of a prosperous kingdom. His wife, Queen Isabella, manages to escape with their newborn son, who is the only heir to the throne. Afraid for the baby's safety, she entrusts him to her loyal servant, who takes the prince deep into the forest in order to hide him from the usurper king, Nicholas.
But in the forest, the baby prince is kidnapped by a pride of lions who have recently lost their own cubs. Rather than eating him, the lions take the baby in as one of their own and raise him alongside their own cubs. The boy grows up among the pride, learning to hunt and survive in the wild. As a result, he develops incredible strength and agility, as well as sharp claws and a ferocity matched only by that of the lions themselves.
Years later, the boy, now a grown man, discovers the truth about his past and decides to reclaim his rightful place as the king of the land. With the help of his lion family, he sets out to take revenge on Nicholas and his armies, using his formidable strength and claws to tear through their defenses and defeat them in battle.
As the Lionman wages war against the tyrannical ruler, he becomes a beacon of hope for the people of the kingdom, who have long suffered under Nicholas's cruel rule. But even as he fights to regain his throne, Lionman must also face the fact that he is, in many ways, a wild animal himself, and struggle with the question of whether he truly belongs in the human world or with his lion family in the forest.
