Lilya 4-ever is a tragic story of a young girl living in poverty in Russia. Lilya's life takes a turn for the worse when her mother moves to America, leaving her behind with her cruel and neglectful aunt. In her loneliness, Lilya turns to her two best friends, Natasha and Volodya, who are struggling with their own problems. Volodya is suicidal and Natasha is pregnant.
Desperate for money, Lilya starts working as a prostitute. She meets a man named Andrei, who promises her a better life in Sweden. Lilya sees this as a chance to escape her miserable existence, so she agrees to go with him. However, upon arriving in Sweden, Lilya discovers that Andrei has lied to her and that she will be forced to work as a prostitute there.
Lilya's life quickly spirals out of control as she is trapped in a world of sex trafficking and abuse. She is isolated from her family, her friends, and any hope for a better future. Despite her bleak circumstances, Lilya continues to hope for a better life. However, her dreams are shattered when she is eventually abandoned by Andrei and becomes completely alone. In a heartbreaking ending, Lilya takes her own life, unable to bear the pain and suffering any longer.
