After her mother's death, Casey becomes emotionally distant from her father and closes herself off from the world. She becomes obsessed with bringing her mother back to life and discovers a spell in a book of magic that is supposed to accomplish just that. However, while reciting the spell, Casey accidentally awakens her Eve doll, which comes to life as a fully-realized woman.
Eve is a perfect representation of everything Casey is not: beautiful, poised, confident, and popular. However, Eve is also naive to the ways of the world and doesn't understand human emotions or societal norms. As Casey attempts to teach Eve about life and friendship, she begins to find solace in their unlikely relationship.
As time goes on, Casey's father starts to develop feelings for Eve and becomes increasingly jealous of Casey's time with her. Eventually, Casey realizes that the only way to save her father and their relationship is to help Eve find her own way in the world, even if that means letting her go.
Life-Size is a heartwarming story about love, loss, and the bonds we form with those around us. It's a reminder that, sometimes, the people who come into our lives unexpectedly are the ones who change them forever.
