The family in Life's A Breeze is made up of a grandmother, her son, and his two adult children. The grandmother, played by Fionnula Flanagan, is a hoarder living in a cluttered Dublin council flat. When her son, played by Pat Shortt, loses his job, he convinces his children, played by Kelly Thornton and newcomer Fionn Walton, to help clean out the apartment and sell the belongings at a car boot sale in hopes of finding a hidden fortune.
After selling most of the items, the family realizes that the valuable family heirloom, a mattress belonging to the grandmother's mother, has accidentally been thrown out. The family embarks on a city-wide search for the discarded mattress, enlisting the help of friends and strangers alike.
As they traverse the city, the family confronts their own personal struggles and learns to appreciate each other in new ways. The film is a heartwarming comedy that explores the universal themes of family, love, and the value of material possessions.
