Michael Chapman is played by Michael J. Fox, who was a child star on a popular TV show called "Life with Mikey". He peaked early in his career, and after the show ended, he failed to find any significant roles in movies or TV shows. He and his brother, Ed Chapman (played by Nathan Lane), decide to start their own talent agency that specializes in child actors.
They struggle to find the perfect child actor who can make it to the top and become a star. They are constantly outbid by a rival agency called "The Buddy McAdams Talent Agency," which is notorious for using shady tactics to secure deals with child actors.
One day, Michael meets a young girl named Angie Vega (played by Christina Vidal), who is a street-smart girl with a lot of attitude. She has been getting into trouble and has a difficult home life, but Michael sees potential in her and convinces her to join their agency. Together, Michael and Ed work hard to polish Angie's acting skills and audition her for various roles.
However, they soon find out that Angie is a difficult child actor to work with, as she is headstrong and always wants things her way. Despite the challenges, Michael and Ed persevere and believe that Angie will be their ticket to success.
In the end, Angie lands a role in a sitcom and becomes a star. Michael and Ed also learn to appreciate the challenges of working with child actors and find a newfound appreciation for the industry.
