Libido is a psychological thriller directed by David Cronenberg that was released in 1965. The film follows the story of Christian, a young man who witnessed his father John, a successful businessman, murder his mistress in a room full of mirrors. Christian left home after his father's supposed suicide and returns years later with his fiancée, Helene, and their friends, Paul and Brigitte.

As Christian revisits his childhood home, he becomes increasingly convinced that his father's death was not a suicide but a cover-up for his disappearance. He is troubled by bizarre incidents, such as finding his father's still-smoking pipe and catching glimpses of his father's face in the mirrors. He becomes obsessed with the idea that his father might still be alive, and his friends become increasingly alarmed by his paranoia.

As the film progresses, it becomes clear that Christian's fears are not unfounded. Paul, his lawyer and friend, is revealed to have been involved in Christian's father's murder, and he has been waiting for Christian to return so he can gain control of the family fortune. Christian's realization of Paul's betrayal ultimately leads to a shocking and violent confrontation.

Libido is a thought-provoking and intense film that explores themes of sexuality, power, and betrayal. It is a dark and unsettling journey into the mind of a man haunted by his past and struggling to come to grips with the reality of his present.
