The film follows the lives of Kim and Deena, two twenty-something friends who share a Los Angeles apartment and a carefree attitude. Their lives are turned upside down when Kim unexpectedly becomes pregnant after a one-night stand. Suddenly, their previously carefree existence is filled with diaper changes, feedings, and sleepless nights.
Despite the challenges of motherhood, Kim is determined to continue pursuing her career as a writer and to maintain her social life. Deena, on the other hand, struggles to adjust to the new reality of their situation and is forced to confront her own issues with commitment and responsibility.
As they navigate the ups and downs of new motherhood, Kim and Deena must also deal with the complications of love, relationships, and the inevitable changes that come with growing up. With the help of their friends and family, they learn to embrace the challenges of their new lives, and ultimately discover the true meaning of friendship and family.
