Let's Make Love is a 1960 American musical comedy film directed by George Cukor and starring Marilyn Monroe, Yves Montand, and Tony Randall. The film follows Jean-Marc Clement (Montand), a billionaire who discovers that he is being satirized in an off-Broadway show. In an attempt to confront the show's creators, he disguises himself as an actor auditioning for the role of himself and meets Amanda Dell (Monroe), the show's female lead. As Clement spends more time with Dell, he begins to fall in love with her and struggles to reveal his true identity. Eventually, Dell discovers the truth and must decide whether or not to forgive Clement for his deception. The film features several musical numbers, including Monroe's iconic rendition of "My Heart Belongs to Daddy". Let's Make Love was not a critical or commercial success upon its initial release but has since gained a cult following.
