In Leprechaun Returns, a direct sequel to the original 1993 film, the Leprechaun is accidentally awakened from his slumber by a group of sorority sisters who have built a new house on the site of his previous hunting grounds. The sorority sisters are determined to turn the house into a green living initiative, but their plans are thwarted when they discover the Leprechaun's gold hidden within the walls.
As the Leprechaun begins to terrorize the sorority sisters and their friends, they try to find a way to stop him before he can do more damage. With help from a local scientist, the group finds a way to defeat the Leprechaun using science and technology. However, the Leprechaun is not easily defeated, and as one of the sisters uncovers a hidden secret, the battle to survive becomes more dangerous and deadly.
Leprechaun Returns features plenty of signature gore and humor, as well as nods to earlier films in the franchise. Warwick Davis, who played the Leprechaun in six of the previous movies, does not return for this film, with newcomer Linden Porco taking over the role.
