Another major character in the movie is Kludd, Soren's older brother who is brainwashed by the leaders of St. Aggie's and becomes a soldier for them. Soren's mentor on the island of Ga'Hoole is a wise and powerful owl named Ezylryb, who trains Soren and his friends in the ways of combat and strategy.
The villains in the movie are led by two brothers: Metalbeak, a cunning and ruthless leader who seeks to destroy the owl kingdoms and impose his own rule, and Nyra, his mate and second-in-command who helps him carry out his plans.
