Le Divorce is a romantic comedy-drama film released in 2003. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Diane Johnson and was directed by James Ivory. The movie stars Naomi Watts, Kate Hudson, and Glenn Close in lead roles.

The story revolves around Isabel Walker (Kate Hudson), a young American woman who travels to Paris to visit her pregnant sister Roxy (Naomi Watts). After arriving in Paris, Isabel discovers that her sister's French husband, Charles-Henri (Melvil Poupaud), has just left her for another woman. While Roxy is devastated, Isabel becomes intrigued by the French culture and becomes romantically involved with an older French diplomat, Edgar Cosset (Thierry Lhermitte).

Meanwhile, Roxy gives birth to a baby girl and begins a relationship with her American ex-husband, who has come to Paris to win her back. Isabel also becomes involved in the complicated family drama of the Walker and Walker Families as the various characters deal with issues of infidelity, cultural differences, and legal wrangling over a painting that was found in Roxy and Charles-Henri's home.

Throughout the film, there are many humorous cultural misunderstandings between the French and the Americans, as well as insightful commentary on the differences in the values of the two cultures. Ultimately, the film demonstrates that love can be found anywhere, even in the midst of difficult situations and cultural differences.
