Allison Williams is driven and ambitious, determined to make partner at her law firm. When she is given her first big case, she knows that it's her chance to prove herself. But she quickly finds herself in over her head when she realizes that the opposing attorney, Derrick Walker, is a formidable opponent who will stop at nothing to win.
Despite their contentious professional relationship, Allison finds herself drawn to Derrick on a personal level. When she meets him at a wedding, she's surprised to discover that he's charming, funny, and kind-hearted. They start to get to know each other outside of work and a romance starts to bloom.
