In Last Call, Dylan Burke (played by Travis Fimmel) is a successful real estate developer in Los Angeles. However, he is forced to return to his old Philadelphia neighborhood to attend his father's funeral. While there, he discovers that the family bar, The Last Call, is in disrepair and on the verge of closure.
Dylan's uncle (played by John Malkovich) runs the bar and wants to keep it open, but Dylan sees no need for it and would rather tear it down for his new development project. As he spends more time in the neighborhood, he starts to reconnect with old friends and memories, and begins to question whether tearing down the bar is the right thing to do.
Along the way, Dylan must also confront his troubled past and reconcile with his family, including his estranged sister (played by Rhys Coiro) and his alcoholic mother (played by Susan Sarandon).
Last Call explores themes of gentrification, family dynamics, and finding one's place in the world. The movie was directed by Paolo Pilladi and written by Greg Lingo and Paolo Pilladi.
