In Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, the titular character, Larry (played by comedian Larry the Cable Guy), is a cable repairman who frequently messes up his job due to his slovenly habits. However, when a food poisoning epidemic breaks out in the city, he is unexpectedly tasked with becoming a health inspector to uncover the source of the problem.

With no prior experience or training, Larry has to navigate the world of food safety, which proves to be quite challenging. He makes enemies with the city's top restaurateurs as he inspects their kitchens, but he also finds an unexpected ally in a rival health inspector, Amy (played by Iris Bahr), who provides him with much-needed guidance.

As Larry investigates, he begins to uncover a network of corruption and greed within the city's food industry, with some chefs resorting to extreme and unsavory tactics to maintain their businesses. With the help of Amy, Larry manages to expose these wrongdoings and put a stop to the epidemic, earning the respect of his peers and the public in the process.

Along the way, Larry's trademark humor and catchphrases are on full display, making for a light-hearted and entertaining comedy that also tackles serious issues surrounding food safety and industry standards.
