Lake of the Dead is a Norwegian horror movie directed by Nini Bull Robsahm. The film follows a group of friends who travel to a cabin in the Norwegian forest to celebrate the birthday of their friend, Lene. However, they soon discover that the lake nearby the cabin is haunted by a vengeful spirit.
The group of friends includes Lene, her boyfriend, Anders, her best friend, Tone, and Tone's boyfriend, Geir. As they settle into the cabin, they hear strange noises coming from the woods and the lake. Lene tells them about a rumour she heard about a crazy man who screams at the lake at night, but they dismiss it as a silly story.
Soon, strange things start to happen inside the cabin. The group discovers old photos of a family that used to own the cabin, and they realize that the daughter in the photos looks exactly like Lene. They also find a diary belonging to the daughter, which reveals that she drowned in the lake and her body was never found. The group begins to suspect that the ghost of the daughter is haunting the lake and the cabin.
As the night falls, the group hears the screams of a man coming from the lake. They decide to investigate and discover a hidden cabin on the shore of the lake. Inside, they find the crazy man who has been screaming at the lake. He tells them that the lake is cursed and that they must leave before it's too late.
The group ignores the man's warning and decides to stay. That's when the real horror begins. The ghost of the daughter starts to torment them, and the group realizes that they are trapped in the cabin. They must find a way to escape before the ghost kills them all.
